Well, to make dating-sim game into TV series was really a nice idea, with all those different characters’ arcs. I kinda missed the Tachibana/Umehara arc, purely with having fun as my only intention.
The first half of the 25th (last) episode was so bad I’ve already loaded WordPress to tell the world about “The worst ending ever”, when it made a great twist and ended on a high note.
Simple TV series to enjoy.
P.S.: Oh, and the pretext of lonely Christmas – this was right down my alley. So goddamn right down my alley.
Short note:
They’re singing ZONE’s songs in endings *__* Ahh, truly a pleasure, and kinda fitting with series (in a lot of ways).
Woah, out of the blue it came – remastered first Ghost in the Shell movie.
I ran into it while checking CDJapan for Animelo’08 DVDs being announced. Well, even if they are not, GitS 2.0 is a good news.
It costs a ton and it’s not Region Free Blu-ray, so I probably won’t buy it, even though I’ll regret it later.
Hate all those region locks – who needs ‘em anyway? And there’s no RF Blu-ray player out yet, neither PS3 is hacked at least to the extent of playing any DVD/Blu-ray video. To add that they only releasing shit on BD in Russia… Erm. Sorry, kinda snapped, haven’t got enough sleep lately (about 80-90th hour uptime currently).
Anyway. It will be ripped and shared via BitTorrent, that I have little doubts of, and for that to happen I am really waiting.
More data about the movie can be found at CDJapan.co.jp; you can preorder it there as well.
Over and out.

First episode complete. Ohh, it was great, and with the 219th Negima chapter yesterday – it’s more like overkill with emotions – so exited, can hardly breath.
Erm. About this episode. The beginning is a short recap from chapter 160 to chapter 173, and the main part is chapters 176-177 in details. Such a description means if you haven’t read the manga, you will understand nothing, most likely, for the “… Ala Alba” isn’t connected with the previous Mahou Sensei Negima series (AniDB).
Nothing good will come up if you let a unrestrained fan (like me) to write a review, so I’ll go no further. But finally, some real Negima anime to show up, it’s like a blessing… *__*
Okay, where have I lost it?.. “`
This OVA takes place after second season and after a few manga volumes after that. Overall it is nice, but you wouldn’t understand a thing if you haven’t read the manga before watching (neither did I).
Ooh, some catch up to do…

ARIA – completed. That was quite a beautiful anime, though maybe a little too sad in the end.

Okay, I’m currently in love with Shugo Chara! series, and, since I’m unable to speak or understand Japanese freely, I’m stickin’ to Formula funsub (which is really good).
But, without any notice (erm… there most likely WAS notice when the ep was released, but it’s too far in the past) eps begun to lack openings and endings, the most essential part. Still, OP & ED were clearly declared in MKV’s chapter section.
Today’s question is obviously “What to do?”. There’s two possible ways of looking for solution:
Easy way – go to the Formula IRC channel and ask.
Difficult way – spend 3 hours updating codecs, searching for video diagnostics tools, using these tools, etc.
Well, the second one was mine, actually. In the end – the solution was found.
The thing is that Formula Sub team (encoder maybe, dunno who’s responsible) made a really neat move to cut the series size – they’ve made OP & ED external, and was just linking to them from the actual episode using usually unseen MKV option (well, to me it was new, at least). So, if you want your Shugo Chara! from FS with all openings and endings, you should just put opening and ending files alongside the main series’ files (or, if you writing it to CD’s/DVD’s, those files should be presented on each disk necessary).
Phew, one problem less.
